John Cena attended Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he earned a degree in exercise physiology. He was also involved in varsity football; he was a team captain and earned All-American honors. Cena spent his college career developing two activities that would prove to define him—training and rapping.

After moving to California to work at Gold's Gym, Cena enrolled in a wrestling school run by Ultimate Pro Wrestling and started wrestling there under the ring name Prototype. UPW had a working relationship with WWE, which soon took notice of Cena, signing him to a developmental contract and sending him to developmental promotion Ohio Valley Wrestling for further seasoning. He made his debut with WWE in 2002. John watched wrestling for as long as he can remember and wanted to become a professional wrestler. One of his first memories of wrestling is seeing Hulk Hogan in the ring. That started the fire inside him to become a wrestler. After seeing his dreams coming true, John Cena recently was in the ring, in a 3 man tag team match with Hulk Hogan as one of the 3 partners. John Cena was like a kid in a candy store. You should have seen his face throughout the match.

John has so much crowd pop cuz he is the champ for the people. He has gained so much notoriety by being 'for the people'. One of his signature quotes is "Real... recognizes REAL!" He has recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and also wrote all 17 tracks on his recently released album "You Can't See Me.".
